What should I do as the second owner of a Patek Philippe modern watch?
Hi,
In 2014, I was lucky to buy a 5711A at the Salon in Paris.
I am about to get a second hand 5235G, with box & papers.
Papers show the original owner's name.
Question: do I need to let Patek Philippe know what the timepiece is now mine?
If I take it for service, will they automatically change the ownership?
Also, during service, would they let me know if the watch was previously serviced?

You can register as the owner on the Patek website.
At service center, you can ask if the piece has been serviced previously.
