IMHO it is superior to the beloved 5970. I just think the case proportions to the movement are perfect.
I love the sizing of this too.
What is it about the 5970 that people generally like over the 3970. I understand that bigger is the trend but this dial looks so balanced and uncluttered.
I can't get rid of looking at what I consider like one of the most beautiful and interesting Patek. Period.
Such a Gorgeous Watch!
I wore my 3970 as a “Dailey Driver” for a couple of years or so. It was a very practical watch and I would forget that I was wearing it. I finally sold it on to help finance a 5004 which although a great watch, is NOT something I could wear as an “Everyday” timepiece.
Gotta admit, I miss my 3970!
