I think all you need is a canon macro L-lens, a tripod, remote shutter release button, and good lighting! Be that as it may, the star of the photo easily compensates - though I think your shot is pretty good.

I think you spotted the three main differences: the time, the timezone (I set mine on Paris, to try to lure Nico into finally buying one), and most important...all that crazy hair around my watch! ;-)))))
Seriously, quite a few others of our members here obviously have this iconic modern WT, and it would be great to one day make a collage comparing them all (maybe we have 15? 20?!? ;-) I'm sure no two of them will even come close, which like Gordon was saying, is really the beauty and uniqueness of these references!

As an even more "shocking" example, I often go back and look at the collages below that I made for two other pieces (these are "out-of-catalog" references, hence much more elaborate)....amazing enough, for both of them the only other specimen known (so far) belongs to our member Michael Ng! Here, the uniqueness (and beauty!!) of Patek's dials is truly pushed to an extreme!

I still cannot get over the 3D effect of the latter two!
The question is could these subtle differences go beyond mere human repetition anomalies, to perhaps personal subconscious (or otherwise) meaning for the one who forged them?

Indeed, the 3D effect is pretty amazing in this "School of fish" dial, even more so in person or under a loupe! I'm sure the human factor plays a critical role during the execution of any of these pieces...
In the end, creativity is at the essence of an artistic expression...so within reasonable bounds, the more it is let free, the more effectively an artist can express their personality!
Let me close with yet another VERY interesting curiosity. Here's is the official press photo that I received from Patek on Announcement Day for last year's RH Collection (it came along with all other pictures, and I had no idea yet that I would have been assigned one of these references for my personal collection!)... Besides that, once again, the differences are *lots* both with Michael's and my watch, you know the detail I love the most of this "press specimen"?? The "6 o'clock fish" swimming in the opposite direction from the rest of the school!! ;-))
I would be SO very happy if the owner of this watch, if they are reading me (and they probably are), would join in the forum with some live shots of their beauty!!
