I actually wore quite a few just a couple days ago (including this 5170G and a *very* special reference), but I promised not to share yet -- so no Patek pics from me today! ;-)) I do appreciate the 5170G more and more, a truly great piece! :-) Enjoy.
;-)) And I actually saw the 5170G on a lady's wrist before it ended up on mine -- very good looking on both genders and all wrist sizes! It gets harder and harder to pick a favorite between the 5070 and 5170 ;-)
Itβs really funny that the 5170 is getting more and more attention lately.

When I bought mine in 2014 people in the forums were kind of throwing foul eggs on me. For so many many reasons the 5170G was regarded as a bad and insufficient replacement of the 5070 which did not reach the holy traditional Patek Philippe standards.
But like many other watches it often takes several years before they get the appreciation they deserve.
Indeed, the 5070 is certainly still more popular among collectors than the 5170 (as well as the 5172), but Iβm also noting much more interest in the two in-house models recently...whoever is interested should probably hurry up on the secondary market!ππ
