16mm Patek Deployant buckle for my White Gold 5127
Hello watch people and fellow Patek watch people,
I decided to add the class of a gneuine Patek Philippe deployant buckle to my small collection of 4 Patek pieces.
I had to make a decision of either a 14mm or 16mm buckle.
The 16mm buckle was slighly larger and gives more ooommmph.
I think the 16mm works well considering I am a larger gentleman........ with extra long Patek strap.
Opinions please.

As a smaller-wristed gentleman, I found that long single-fold deployant uncomfortable--I couldn't get it to fit across the bottom of my wrist where it belonged. It will probably work out much better for you!
As an aside, I can't help but mention how gorgeous the case on that 5127 is. Such perfect curves.
I only have one PP
and I changed the buckle of my Calatrava for the folding buckle, like you have.
Since then I find that the watch is more comfortable, besides the great looks
of the buckle.
Quite an investment to do that with your collection,
but I think it is a good decision.

Comfort is key
The Patek deployant clasp has always been uncomfortable on my small wrist so I prefer the pin buckle. Saying that the Patek deployant clasp is a beautiful addition to any watch so it if is comfortable on your wrist, it can only be a good thing.
How small is your wrist?
Mine is 6.5 inches and I can have a lot issues with deployants. I think they are geared to larger wrists

I recall how uncomfortable the deployant was on the 5575G but Cartier's deployant buckle was ok.
I think it is an outstanding idea and 16 mm is the right size.
Patek deployment is extremely comfy - there are much much worse in the market. However, you need to have a strap of correct length in order to place the clasp correctly. If possible, visit a PP Salon; they will measure your wrist and tell you the correct size (for a 40 mm watch I need 85 x 125). When you know the right size of strap, you can order it from Patek without paying anything extra or you can order the type you like from places like CF Paris.

Phisted cuffs
A pontiph cannot conduct mass with those wrecked shirt cuffs. The proper shirt cuff frames the watch. Wearing a patek with those cuffs is like framing a Rembrandt in a $9.99 gold plastic frame from gyna.
14 would taper too much
in my view. 16mm is perfect. I tried on the 37mm travel time in rose with a 14 mm buckle and it did not work for me. I have the 14mm buckles on my 3796 and 3923, both 30.5 mm and the size is perfect on them.

I would do the same. If you don’t mind me asking, can I get a rough price point for a deployant in white gold? I’m looking to switch out a tang buckle as well.

14mm in WG should be around US$3,000. 16mm a bit more.

Deployant size
Would love to hear some advise on size of deployant. Looking for one for A 37mm 5127, 17cm wrist. Would a 14mm deployant be too small?
Very nice choice
I find it add a substantial « classy » touch to the timepiece but also more importantly a level le safety in case the clasp opens too quickly.
I am hesitating getting one for my aviator one but just thinking it may not fit it well design wise.
