Of course for the second one the choice is more difficult to make but since you gave clear rules for the game I’ll go for the 5970 P. Of course that makes 2 gorgeous pieces and no toolwatch but I actually can’t make sports anymore, neither swimming so these 2 will be just perfect and will complete each other perfectly : yellow vs white case, white vs black dial so that’s my vote

for modern watches i would say: 3700 + 3970
I could do this, for far less than $500k!
Everyday comfort and wearability, with complication, would be the Nautilus Perpetual 5740. And if I wanted I could swim in it, that said I have a Garmin 920xt for swimming and other sports.
The other choice would be a 3970 Perpetual Chronograph. Not sure which metal, perhaps rose gold. I love the size, at 36mm, while I wear larger watches with the little bit of thickeness that comes with the complications on this reference 36mm is perfect.
And I still have a few hundred thousand dollars left over to buy a nice two car collection!

Of course. I think when writing it down just now I surprised myself a bit at what a great two watch PP collection one could have for ~$200k -$250k.
Assuming I could get the 5740 at retail!!
It's way too difficult of a choice, which in a sense is a good thing, but among the more recent ones I'm going for the 5650 and the 5531...maybe also because I don't own either one :-) [nt]

My choice will be simple, sorry but even if you put a high financial cap, I can not get away from the cost of these beautiful pieces and I have chosen only watches financially targetables for me but pieces I truly enjoy
