A well-written article on Hodinkee. I have never heard of these before, but they look very nice - I am not too much of a Moonphase fan, and the "senza luna" versions looks very good.

....i have to say that it just doesn't look good to me. For me, the 3448 is all about the moonphase. Without that, the watch loses quite a bit.

It also looks to me that the validity of the "without" version is questionable.

I prefer this one....

The forum rules on links: "Outside links are permitted on the site as long as they are relevant to the discussion on hand. Links to commercial sites such as Ebay, dealer sites, etc. are strictly prohibited - posts with these links will be edited or deleted, with or without notification."


I don't think that posting a link to Hodikee's article on the Senza Lunas is violating the forum rules. Please put back the posting to its original state.

This is to be adapted and is not that easy to apply as we don't want to be too strict either. Furthermore, we don't always see them (we can't read all the posts) as we don't have the time to be always on the forum to check. Furthermore, there a some of yours I left.

In fact, to help people knowing when we can share them or not, it is more about trying to launch a conversation, as we think that it is what's interesting (thus knowledge etc...), by reading posts on the forum we discover what other members think about watches, what they like, what is their point of view. It creates also a community and helps evolving in our pleasure we get from watchmaking in general. If the link leads to something very valuable or that really can't be summarized, it is ok, if it is a technical data supporting the post (as I do with a link to the watch I'm reviewing), then it is ok as well. There are quite a number of examples where it is interesting and not easy to do otherwise than posting.

Hence, what I would say to make it easier to know when we can or not is, whatever the subject, when an article is difficult to bring without a link, the initiator should at least write a few lines developping a little what the post is about and what he likes in that post he wishes to share. In fact he should launch a discussion. The link can serve as a base or give further details but the poster can create a first discussion (5 or 10 lines not something big).

Then the poster can add "you'll find an interesting article about it on XXXX if you wish to read it".

We have already many Instagram, Facebook, very quick platforms for pictures only and we feel that forums are the only places where we can really get more interesting discussions.

That's what we try to promote.
