Really love the blue on this watch. I have never seen a 5711A in the flesh but I would assume from photos that the blue on the 5711A is darker than the watch here. I like the symmetry of the 7118A and the finish is superb. Happy holidays to all.

Not the conventional choice I guess but I find you pull it of really well and it fits your wrist size perfectly.

The funky dial pattern and the placement of the date at 6 o'clock are quite appealing, too

Yes correct this could be a unisex watch but thankfully my wife does not like the nautilus very much. She did "steal" my 7200R and I have to admit she wears it better than me.....(I had replaced the strap with a brown strap but she put the original strap back on the 7200R)

7200 and now the Nauti are both well suited to your wrist !

Similar to your wife but not to the same extent, I do "borrow" the 7200 at times.

You and your wife are now even. Happy wife = Happy Life !

because with your small wrist, you have acquired a Nautlus that suits you and not a 5711/1A which would have been too large. I have a wrist like yours and also own a 7200R (London edition) so we should form a club to celebrate Patek's 'ladies' watches that are more unisex than they are ladies.

My favourite Nautilus is actually the 5800 which was produced between 2006 and 2009. It has the 330SC movement and is very rare nowadays due to its short production span.

Gordon.....I wish you had not shown me this.....it looks great! I've found a few just by googling the reference 5800. Problem is I have no idea which websites are legitimate. I will keep it in mind. To me a grail watch would be the more brilliant blue of the platinum nautilus, in a steel case!

He was sitting on the table next to ours and I must say it looked very very nice!
