Dear JC, I suggest a 5000J as
the PP cal 240 is a must and the model is 33mm.
I saw this one today at Antoine de Macedo in Paris.
Rare to see the black dial with golden indexes and white prints.
What do you think about this model?

I recommend vintage in general.
My wife has several modern and even more vintage pieces. The modern tend to be over your limits. The vintage pieces, i.e. Golden Ellipse, the manual winding ones, are widely available and very affordable. You can easily find such a watch either in YG or WG and with bracelet or without.

... with a Salmon dial. The picture doesn't do it justice as the finish of the case and numerals, so as the dial's look are gorgeous.
It answers all your point, except maybe the size with a 30x38mm case.
A great watch for a man and a beautiful one for a lady.

I would suggest a very classic and elegant looking Patek 4860 which is manual winding calatrava with breguet hands and arabic numerals. Simple yet timeless. Not sure about the exact size but I think it would be about 30mm.
She is indeed a lucky woman whatever she ends up with!

How about one made for Tiffany? For ladies I like the juxtaposition of a fine movement (240?) with the undoubtedly feminine "Tiffany" on the dial ie a fine timepiece, not jewellery, but a "nod" to that fine jeweller.
