I believe its 39mm in diameter , to me its kinda

The 5296r is an auto 38mm 5196r manual wind 37mm. Might be biased but this i believe are calatravas that are just right in size. My opinion. If its bigger than 40 mm its got to have complication , dont want a wall clock on my wrist.

I thought I wouldn't go for 3-hands only Patek anymore but would have preferred going for a more complicated one in the future. However, since I tried the 5227R and handled the 5110 (which have the 5127's case with crown guards), I'm reconsidering this opinion.

As for the size, I always considered that it depends on the wrist's size: if you have a very small wrist, 40+ maybe too big? With a large wrist 37 may look too small.

And, furthermore, it is with my own European aesthetical persepective! It won't look thus same in other parts of the world

Thanks for sharing the pictures Geross, I tried the 5296R last week in both versions: sector dial and classical one and the blued hands are beautifully made.

5127 so I am thinking to add a 5227

Because of the 175th Anniversary pieces, the London event and new pieces presented this year, Patek manufacture can't deliver all novetlies at the same time, hence the 5524G and 5227G which are expected to arrive beginning 2016.

That's why we don't see much of them yet.

I made a review of the 5227R which is a watch that I love. The lugs and case shapes look absolutely wonderful and I'm eager to be able to handle this new version too.

...it is a laquered dial so it is going to look fabulous.

Have not seen this white gold black dial yet. I think your Lange 1815 anniversary is quite similar generally and between the 2 I will prefer the Lange to be honest

that the lange is amazing too! but I have to admit that the long waiting lists @ patek do work in putting a lot of pressure when a piece you eyed months ago arrives and if you don't get it quick someone else is ready to snatch it On a more serious note I am also trying to get my hands on a Lange 1815 honey gold...wouldn't be lovely to complete that small collection ?
