We had a Christmas gathering today with the family and I spotted her wearing this watch (her Mother's Day present)

The mother of pearl dial is so pretty and my aunts and lady cousins all love the watch.
One of my cousins told me she couldn't believe Montblanc could make such nice lady watches!
The mother of pearl is supposed to be a black one but it looks blue with light on the dial. A very nice midnight blue to sky blue hue.
She normally wears her other beater and only wears this Montblanc on special occasions. I am so happy to see her wearing this watch and still loving it and cherishing it so much

BTW, I know a few friends who never care for the moonphase and date on their watches, as long as the time is correct. Your mom must have this kind of easy-going style of life.

She only uses the watch to tell the time. She likes to admire the beautiful mother of pearl dial though. She said she could look at it for a long time.

Will try. It comes with a grey strap which looks ok but not outstanding. A white strap will look great! Maybe with blue stitching
