I just fetched my Orbis Terrarum today - the version with leather strap. The metal bracelet did not really please me. I have one question regarding the double folding clasp complementing the leather strap: Is it normal that the clasp does not close just by pressing? It is so stiff that I have to press the opening buttons to make the clasp close. This is quite uncomfortable and does not seem to be convenient. Do younhave the same problem? Is it normal? Or should the clasp close by pressing? (As every other folding clasp I own)?? To be honest, the clasp overall does not habe the same quality haptics as the watch...

Hmmm my folding clasp secures very easily without needed lots of force and there is no discomfort nor need to press the release buttons to close it. It works like most other double deployant clasp from other brands.

I suspect you have a faulty clasp. Could you go back to the seller or an MB boutique and check with them? You can try another timepiece from Montblanc with a similar deployant clasp and see the difference.

with similar clasps. However, after initially having to press the buttons to close, it was a able to snap close unaided thereafter. I think it's simply a matter of the metal parts wearing in or in certain conditions requiring some lubrication.

Dear Fernando, thanks for your hint. The obvious I did not realise: a verry little drop of lubricant helped already...

@jrwong: the new ExoTourbillon is nice, BUT I had a double catch yesterday: I did not only pick the Orbis Terrarum, but also one of the 60 pieces of ExoTourbillon Vasco Da Gama in WG ... A great piece!

To your Orbis Terrarum and Heritage Chronometrie ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph Vasco da Gama edition! That blue Aventurine dial is to die for!
