Posted a while back that I was daft enough to drop my ALS DP onto a marble floor from wrist height, suffice to say quite upset obviously with myself. Watch wouldnt wind so back to Lange it went.
Have to say first rate people to deal with...my watch needed a new dial & various bits, case was refurbed also...watch has come back brand spanking new...oh and I also added a deployment clasp so that I dont let it slip again in the same way it did.
Anyway I note that it seems the dial is differant, the sub dials are 'shinnier' it seems than before, or is this just my imagination as I have been without it now for 4 months...I dug up an old photo and compared it to the new one, and indeed it does seem that the subdials have been polished more, not complaining I do like this look as it seems to add a bit more to the 'starkness' of a rhodium dial
Or maybe I am just going mad and cannot remember what it was like before!...help!...what do you think?

hard
one...situation is delicate I think..
because I don't like to impose my visions
and views to others
so if you are satisfied with it I think that is what's important
so I'll hold my pie hole shut about this new subdials...

She is looking great!

I Do much prefer the slightly shinier & darker subdials. You really have to see it in the flesh as they change colour/shade as the watch moves. I must admit I do find the dial slightly 'stark' at times, and I think this slight revision has added a bit more 'pizzazz' to the look and I am extremely happy with it, strangely the whole dial seems more 'twinkly' the hour markers etc really catch the light. Quite surprised that the Lange website shows the 'old' style dial on the DP, you would think that would be changed straight away to reflect any small changes, or maybe I have just got an 'oddball' one off!!
Nope they did not get in touch to notify me of any changes whilst the repair was been carried out, and I dont quite know what the odd 'not original' comments are about, as this watch was repaired by lange with full invoice for service & gasket replacement etc I think it is well & truly original, the fact the dial is slightly differant is hardly making it 'non original'..besides which this is a keepeer for me so I am not bothered about vlaue etc following the repair. It will be interesting to see which dials any new DP's that come up are sporting.
Funnily enough I was down at the QP salon show when my watch was away for repair & I had already had the quote stating it needed a new dial, so I asked if it was possible to put the grey dial on my watch, and they said no, a plat perpetual had to have the silver dial and they would not fit a grey one as that would make it a one off!...anyway fine I was undecided on which one I preferred anyway, and oddly I have now been very fortunate as I much prefer this dial mine has come back with, so all is well that ends well.
Must admit I find the deployment clasp does make the watch sit a lot better on my wrist, no longer does its heft pull it to oneside, so that is another good result
Only bad thing now is that it is so perfect I cannot bring myself to wear it just now, it seems such a shame when its so perfect & new to let it pick upr scratches again around the bezel!!
Took a pic in houselight last night which shows a bit better how the subdials change colour & contrast nicely

For all the feedback, I understand the concerns about 'non' original, but not an issue for me, but as I say I understand and agree maybe Lange should have got in touch pre dial repair if indeed it is a differant style. If however all DP's will have this dial going forward then totally understandable to 'update' it, as I said it will be interesting to see what dial any new DP's will be wearing
No offennse taken Moritz, valid points & opinions as from amerix also
Cheers
LOVE the new dial!
I've always preferred the WG model due to the contrast....and now this.....I guess I'm back to liking the PT version more!!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!!
After the accident with this beautiful piece.
And I'm so pleased to read that everything has worked out ok.
It just remains to wish you many years of enjoyment, including the one that will occur in 9 days time
