Hi All

Having coveted one of these for a while now, I have finally bitten the proverbial bullet. Obviously this needs no introduction on this forum, suffice to say that I find the quality, detailing and finishing to be exquisite and could not be happier with my choice.

To me, this is my favourite Grande Lange 1.

While I'm not very pleased by the interpenetrating circles on the other Grande Lange 1s, I find that on this one, it is rather cool.

When I speak about " curious blend ", I mean that, to me, the additiion of luminous material gives it a sporty touch.

Hence the fact I'm less disturbed by these interpenetrating circles, on this one.

Sporty, yet elegant. Interesting!

First of all, congratulations on this unusual piece and hoping that you will be enjoying it to the utmost.

Sadly not for me. I want to see at a glance what minute it is between 16 and 26 after the hour. Also there is the issue about how the large date also cuts, rather cruelly I find, into the minutes display.

Date and Seconds rule on this one! Also the two touching (tangent) circles, so far removed from the original design of the Lange I.

I am faced with a similar problem with the Pt Double Split, where reading (or setting!) the minutes between 26 and 34 requires some mental and visual acrobatics, sharp eyesight or a loupe being almost a prerequisite. That is fortunately gone with the current RG production, where the romans are replaced with baton markers. Would I trade or reconsider? No. Unless they had done it all over again in platinum...

(and I don't mean you Nicolas) I've noticed that it consistently comes from the same couple of people. The guy just got a watch of his dreams there is no need to add your negative opinions about why this piece isn't for you, he certainly didn't ask for one. Let him and the rest of us enjoy the moment for Gods sake!!!

Altough it might not be always the same perception about a watch: it is still always a polite and descret criticism.

vs. making a post asking for opinions on a certain watch or watches are two different things, the later didn't apply here or am I missing something? This is the second time in the last month that I've seen you bash someone's new addtion so please do us all a favor and stop the troll like behavior unless its asked for. In other words, if you don't have something nice to say then its better left unsaid.

I have also been given HONEST feedback about my latest aquisition and I can accept and welcome it as I am an outgoing person ...

The feedback guven from my side ton this particular Lange is still positive overall.

th intercepting circles is what always attracted me on the Grande lange design,to me it has always had a playful,interesting,qurky appeal that takes away the over  boring seriousness that a Lange watch sometimes has.

Superbly achived in this model is the armony of those circles being tangent to each other ,creating a harmonius ballet of shapes.

Definetely a more sporty approach but what an approach ,and even if you can t exacly tell the minute between 16 and 26 ,who gives a flying ..are we still rationalizing on watches look and use???On this site????c mon I thought we went past it Guys!

The end result is spectacular and uber cool and that s what matters,I take this over a millions other watches that are Grails to many but make me yawn all the way to my bed.

If I didn t own a Lange 1 already ,This would be my next catch for sure,to me together with the Zeitwerk Louminous,the GL louminus was the best offering from Lange s last SIHH.

This piece very nearly came my first ever Lange.

It just got pipped by another piece.

 

How luminous are the dial and the hands in the dark? I have luminous hands on my L1 as well but I never find them luminous at all. Think your piece may be better in this aspect.

I must confess it is far from being my fav Lange but it has a strong personality and it is an unique watch in the Lange collection.

Had the opportunity to have lunch with a client just last week, who was wearing the Lange 1 Luminous. All I can say is it has a remarkable on arm presence and I spent the entire meal looking at his Lange.
