Which is your favourite metal for Lange?
White Gold, Yellow Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum...

Because at the end, it depends on the watch.

A Cabaret ? Pink gold is my fav color !

A Saxonia ? The Pink Gold Grey dial is my fav combo !

1815 chronograph ? White Gold !

Lange 1 ? Platinum !

Richard Lange ? Platinum !

Datograph ? Pink gold !

But with the Zeitwerk, no doubt ! White gold without any hesitation ! It is not due to the material but due to the dial.

model and the dial color which I understand is not interchangeble by Lange.

I like the Dato in PT for the weight and the understated nature of it and its "I know its PT and that's enough" overall feel and experience.

I like some of their pieces in their RG as I find their shade of PG darker than say that of LUC and Breguet for example and that appeals more to my eye.

But if the overall look and dial color is neutral to PT, that remains my favorite precious metal.

... i agree with u on all ur combos!! Except the zeitwerk, as i haven't seen it. But its coming soon to my AD, and i asked him to keep me the RG on the side. At least not to sell it before i come check it out.  He told me that i would love the WG... :P Let's wait and see!

I must admit that I have a soft spot for white metal Langes.The L1 in pt is my favourite,for some reasons all the Lange in yellow gold or pink are too classic,they look like for old people(apart from an early Grande Lange with black dial and some Limited editions like a yellow gold Dato,which i think was for the Japanese market).Yes definetely coloured golds don t look as good on Langes as Pt or WG.As for the Zeitwerk definetely WG because of the dial if it was Pt I'd say Pt.Yours,Mo.

But would also be happy to have it in W/G.

for a while.... Lange used to give them to customers while their watches were being serviced....
The customers ended up keeping them and thus Lange no longer makes them...
True it would be nice....

L1, RL, Cabaret, Datograph in PT, 1815 chrono and Zeitwerk in WG

RG seems to go well in each Lange model and there is no mistaking it's sophisticated look.

WG, Pt and S/S for the most part are almost indistinguishable from each other with a cursory glance.

I find Pt too heavy and difficult to price justify Pt watches in my own mind even though I am aware of the difficulties of

manufacture.
