I am considering a 1815 in different metal.  The old discontinued 1815.  Would you prefer a WG with black dial or a WG with blue dial or a RG with white dial or a RG with black dial?  And why?  Some say a WG with black dial is not as dressy as a RG with white dial.  Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!

WG/blue, WG/black, PT/silver, YG/silver and RG/silver.  All are very nice.  The WG versions are more sporty looking.  The YG and RG are more dressy.  The PT is the most versatile (to me). 

I think they are all very nice.  I actually don't own any of these at this point, but they all speak to me in different ways.  If I were getting one, I'm not sure what I would choose.  Maybe the YG, since it is so traditional.  Sorry I can't be on more help, other than the picture.    Best of luck in your choice.

I have a blue dial Glashutte Original that I wear daily. I think black dial and blue dial exude casualness, of course, that's just me.

Depends on how you want to wear the watch. I have a RG 1815, white dial, blue hands that I wear pretty much only with suit. But the picture of the black dial with black strap with white sticking looks very nice, just not my preference.
So I would agree with your comment that dark dial more casual and white with gold case more dressy, either with dark brown or black croc strap. This message has been edited by learner on 2009-10-15 17:15:47
