Guten tag my fellow Lange PuristS!
Trust you all are having a great mid-week.
Today i went to my AD for awhile to just take a look around, and also mainly to scrutinise more on the new 1815 (Platinum version only) whose sample piece was brought in once again for my viewing pleasure today after that event a couple of weeks ago.
So i picked up the masterpiece, looked at it under my loupe for a moment, and strapped the watch on, played and fiddled with it basically, and decide to purchase the piece!
I will be getting no. 77/500 for this, a number that was my 2nd choice following a preferred option for no. 7/500. (So that it would match my RL PLM). But unfortunately due to my own delay in stating a desire for the piece, the 1st option has been allocated, but i still at least get my 2nd choice! ( and a triple seven at that! Not that i'm a gambler nor believer of the "lucky seven", 7 holds a special significance for me in itself)
Therefore, this year I will be getting 2 of the 3 debuts for 2009, and am very delighted in my choice.
Here are some amateur and unclear shots of this masterpiece which I took at the event a few weeks ago some of you might remember.

I know as well that many people much highly prefers the white gold version due to the presence of the blued steel hands. I do would very much like that on the Pt as well, but for me, over the presence of blued steel hands, would be the case of the watch be crafted in Pt. But one can't always have everything.
In the end, this watch embodies all the criteria that I have for a watch to be already acceptable in my collection, and that is what matters.
Cheers and have a great rest of the week!
Stephen
Your words are always too kind, mon ami!
Yes, i have to admit as well that I seem to be pulling on Lange very fast this particular year, but also we must not forget that afterall Lange IS my TOP MOST FAVOURITE marque in the world, so no surprise, and this should occur more frequently i must say.
What about you, my dear Platinum friend? Will you be pulling on something in our shared common favourite metal from Lange this delightful year?
Indeed, one for me, and hopefully for you too, my cheers from the glass of Amarone that i'm drinking as i'm writing this!
A bientot!
Stephen

It's shouldn'T be a problem for you one bit , mon ami!
I have the confidence in your power!
Cheers!
Stephen

I too am eager to share it with you fellows soon!
Cheers

Hey there Ming,
Guess that Platinum and Blue tie pin got translated into a Platinum and Blue ( the strap will be at least ,
)
watch!
But yes, i STILL am searching for that tie pin! And this is the last weekend!
Stephen
It's such a co-incidence that the time indicated when you took your shot is almost the same as mine!
Cheers!
Stephen
And congratulations once more again to you on your latest Pt RL as well!
Cheers

I'm wearing my old 1815 as I type and would love to get the platinum version as well, since I have the much adored (IMVHO) blued steel hands.
The platinum is a good choice as the whole watch doesn't detract from each element nor fight for attention! Well, the dial does, if not why do we like it so much?
Enjoy your Langes this year fratello!
Ciao!
Lionel
You'v got a superb masterpiece there as well, as are each and every single piece to ever leave the manufactory.
I have to agree, that while I am usually a Roman numeral fanatic, the arabics of this piece simply drew me in.
I could not have pulled on the old 1815, because of size issue ( i don't do under 40mm). But now with this one, it is as if it was crafted "for me", IMVHO.
Ciao mio Lange fratello!
Stephen
. At the rate you're going, you're gonna end up with 50 Lange watches before you retire.
So it's kind of like a coincidence? LoL, I was indeed wondering where did you go to!
Well, you got the TT did you? Congrats my friend! You are indeed way wealthier than I could ever dream to be! In such economic times, to pull on such a car in Singapore, it's my turn to say WOW!!!
Well as i would always tell the guys, " As for me and my family, we will always go for good, Platinum, hand-wound watches!"
Cheers
Stephen
I'm afraid not , because that would go against Lange's design, and that would be a huge NO NO!
Cheers
Stephen
Hope you're enjoying it and will do so for many years to come.
But i havent got the watch yet!
Just only confirmed an order for it!
Cheers
Stephen
