Hello=

I have been a fan of this site for many years and enjoy reading everyones entries and comments (^_^)
I have a Saxonia Automatik in WG and am currently thinking about getting a Lange 1 (Darth, Stealth or PG (101.033 - grey dial)).

My first choice is the Darth, but I'm still having difficulty which one to choose as I like all three.  Could everyone please share with me your thoughts and wristshots to help me make a decision about which one to get?  

To Darth owners, one concern I had when I tried the Darth on was that the dial is hard to read (lighting/reflection against black dial).  Could you please share with me your experiences?

First of all, congrats for your Saxonia.

There are several Lange 1 I really like.

Maybe my fav Lange 1 is the PG/Silver dial version:

I think it would be a wonderful addition to your Saxonia due to the contrast between the cases.

Yes, the pink gold with white does look nice, but I was looking to have a little color in the dial (^_^

I had a similar scenario in the past and ended getting both pieces in PG with silver and gray dial.

I kept the gray dial as the combination of PG with the gray dial and white logo is fantastic!!!

 

I understand that the new Lange Time Zone will have the PG gray dial combination.

Do you have any nice wristshots? 

The pink gold with grey dial time zone is a Sincere (Singapore AD) exclusive.  Is this the one you are talking of?  If you notice, "Singapore" is replaced where "Hong Kong" would normally be.  Below is taken from Sincere site (click here )

 

I thought the special TimeZone for Sincere has a black dial with a pink gold case or am I wrong? the version with the grey dial is available for everyone. I thought it is a new version made by Lange for everyone.

Please correct me if I am wrong

To be honest, when I saw the picture I thought it was a grey dial, but I may be mistaken. (^ ^;  Maybe there is somebody that can confirm for us? (^_^)

Its a tough choice all three are very nice. I'd make the decision based on what would look best with your current Lange. The Stealth is to similar with its case and dial color to the Saxonia so that narrows you down to the Darth or the pink gold/grey dial version. Between those two, I would go with the Darth if it where my choice. The grey dial Lange 1 looks better with the white gold case IMO plus the Darth is platinum and you can never go wrong with that!

Although the Stealth is a completely different watch, at a glance yes, they do look very similar (case and dial color).  I like the Darth's black dial, but in the store, I had difficulty reading the time and if I was in a darker place, I was thinking I might have more difficulty...

I was also kind of thinking about the WG with grey dial.  It is more easier to see than the black and can be more flexible with strap colors (grey, black...). 

Maybe I should wait to make a decision until after I see the new models at end of January in SIHH?

If at all possible, go to an AD and check out the various options in person if you haven't done so already.  As other's have mentioned, however, the Darth is no longer available.  As to my personal experiences, I've owned a Stealth,  and a PG/GD Lange 1, and currently have both a Darth and a PG/SD Lange 1 MP, a watch that, while not a "pure" Lange 1, is one that I would strongly recommend you take a look at.  Regarding the legibility issues of the Darth, personally, I find it easier to read than the Stealth.  On my Stealth, the hands would seem to fade into the background; on the Darth, with any type of light, I find that the light reflects off of the silver hands and causes them to stand out from the black background.  The PG/GD Lange 1 was very nice, but didn't really do anything for me; I find the PG/SD more stunning, and of the PG/SD Lange 1's I find the MP the most stunning of all, simply a beautiful watch.  Of the Lange 1's that you mentioned, I'd go with the Darth hands down.  I really like the watch.  It goes with anything dress or causual, and is unique, in that unlike the other Lange 1's, the date wheel background matches the dial.  Good luck and enjoy the hunt. Thanks for the great feedback.  I've been in contact with an AD that has one Stealth and I tried it on my wrist in person.  I've never bought PG or YG watch before because I always thought it was kind of flashy, but when I saw it in person, I started to like it because it was "different"

After seeing the Darth and PG in person, I decided to post this message because it made my decision making more difficult (LoL).  I knew that if I posted my question here, I would get great feedback from everyone to help make my decision making easier.

 

I loved the RG with the grey dial the most but also liked the Champaign dial. What to do? I bought the red gold grey dial Lang e1 and a Lange 1 moonphase in RG. This gets the champaign dial. Works for me and I recommend it highly!
