While looking at it ( should I say ..Admire ? ) you immediately feel the Mystic of this marvel.

Yep, very impressive.

There are watches you hunt for a long time and what you find it, you have it in your hands, the magic is not there, you're a bit deceived, like if the Fantasm was stronger than the reality.

With this one, the Reality is stronger than the fantasm, indeed!

soft spot for Lange and their tour de force technical ability, but I have also had a very soft spot for this subtle, elegant, and understated watch.  Excellent review and a watch that I still have on my wish list.

In the aftermath of one of the greatest posts IMHO,just one more thing.For all of us who like bigger size watches and commented on the size of the LA,I think that a future and possible LE of the Richard Lange in the same spirit of the Langematik A would be a dream come true.The watch didn t impress me at first but i tried it on and its magnificent and I think it is a bit understated in this site and maybe it didn t receive the attention it deserves.Can you imagine an enamel dial and a few other stilistic tricks on a 40 mm central second hand Lange ?Lets bribe someone in Glasshutte!!!!!what do you think Nicolas?

And a nightmare for me, as I would have to add it to my collection.

I remember seeing AL&S watches for the first time in Las Vegas in 2004. I was there for a wedding.

When I went to the AD to see the watches, I was mesmerized by the quality of them. One, in particular, was this watch. The saleslady tried to sell me this watch at list price, telling me what a special piece it is. Unfortunately, at that time, I was in a different stage in my professional life where it would have been completely irresponsible to make such a purchase. I knew it was a special watch, but it was not meant to be. Oh how I wish I could now go back and lend my younger self the money to get it.

I was at the right place at the right time, but in the wrong stage of my life to pull the trigger. I have never forgotten this watch, and your post brings me back to that moment in my life. For me, this one will always be the one that got away!

I know this " bitter " feeling very well, as I think we're not alone in this case.
