i saw this question on the PP forum in regards to their wg and platinum watches, with the result being that they ARE plated.
any help here?

for both Patek and Lange watches.

The WG cases Patek uses are (all?) plated; Lange uses a different kind of WG
with a higher palladium content iirc.

I have no info the palladium content of a Lange in White Gold.

as for Patek Philipe, we were speaking of white gold only re. rhodium plating.
And, if you' dhave  a look at some more recent  post it's even not sure if this information was up to date.

I'll try to get more info on that soon, but for now, re. white gold some are some arent't rhodium plated.
Platinum isn't plated at all.

As far as I know Lange doesn't plate their white gold cases.

I can confirm that the WG are not plated in any way...neither are the Pt. Platinum cases are the purest metal you can get on a watch case - 95% pure platinum, whereas gold only have 75% gold content for 18k.
