Of the two pieces, this rose gold one has four (4) additional parts in the movement in order to make the Moon Phase rotate in the opposite direction and thus correctly represent the phases of the moon here in the Southern Hemisphere. Another fun fact: water rotates the other way around when draining from a sink or bath down here too - all you Northern Hemisphere dwellers need to take a trip down here to see that for yourselves!

Thanks Nico! The Luna Mundi and its relatives drew mixed attention when they were introduced.
The Luna Mundi was one of the first releases in the first Grand Lange 1 series -- the series with the overlapping subdials (because Lange used the same size movement as in the smaller, standard Lange 1 case). I think it was introduced at the same time as the platinum 115.025, rose 115.031 with two-tone black/gray, and yellow 115.021 with two-tone champagne/mustard. None of those models sold well for a variety of reasons.
The Luna Mundi editions were especially hard to sell because very few people wanted to buy the full set. They wanted the Northern Hemisphere but not the Southern Hemisphere model. That was not just because they might've lived in the Northern Hemisphere there but because more people prefer a white metal case, and many felt that the Northern Hemisphere dial was more appealing (Big Dipper/Ursa Major is more visually appealing on a watch dial than the Southern Cross/Crux constellation). I think quite a few of these Luna Mundi sets got split up.
Yes, you are right, it was not a big success... But still, these were good looking watches. I have to admit that, like the others, I prefer the platinum version, too...
