Great looking strap too. I’ve had a few straps from Jean Rousseau and the quality of the stitching on yours looks better than I’ve seen on mine. Admittedly, mine came on an FPJ Chronometre Souverain - one factory strap and two additional straps. All three have some glue issues on the lug ends - loose material coming unstuck - which appears to be cosmetic rather than structural. In addition, the stitching on one of them is all over the place - very uneven - and that’s on a calfskin strap so no excuses regarding scales positioning.
I’m giving it another go with their European operations to get a custom strap for my Breguet MR. I’ll be honest, I would have gone with Camille Fournet again if it hadn’t been for the CITES drama over cross border shipping. It’s easier for me to pick up from their London boutique as I’m not planning on being in Paris this next trip. We’ll see🤔
Good information you provided! I appreciate it! I just received the strap yesterday so I can't speak to any long term quality issues but my initial inspection leaves me pleased with the quality of the material and of the craftmanship. My understanding is that the strap was made in the Jean Rousseau atelier in NYC for what it is worth.
I agree with you. I was surprised myself. I was at the Lange boutique in NY and was looking through their dozens and dozens of strap samples of all difference colors, material, and finish. I was initially thinking I wanted something blue but didn't like how any of their blue straps looked with the watch. I kept looking at all sorts of combinations and ended up really liking this dark purple.
Different lighting, morning sun, inside by the window with overhead light also , and from the boutique. My phone camera makes it look lighter and accentuates the purple more than in real life. Some of the 'shadow' pictures depict the true shade of purple better.
When I decide to get a new one, for this one or my other Lange, I will most likely ask Jean Rousseau to put quick release springbars on all of the straps so I can change them out more easily.
Does "titanium" refer to just the thread color, or is there supposedly some titanium in the stitching itself?

I recall they offered "platinum" stitching too, which also look nice (especially with black or grey straps used with a white metal case), but I never asked if there was actual platinum in the thread because I ended up getting a different thread.
