The Richard Lange PLM is a watch to be cherished.
The three-part enamel dial which is extremely difficult to make since the failure rate is very high compared with the standard single level dial. The white gloss of the dial is breathtaking. Also the artistic touch of hand-painted numerals plus the small, red arabic numbers for the quarter hour intervals is simply classic Lange design language at its best.
Heat blued hands are super contrasty against the shimmering enamel dial. Legibility defined!!
The fusee and chain based caliber, with its 636 components, is a triumph of micro-mechanical mastery in horology. The typical Lange embellishments further elevate the movement to the top of the haute horlogerie space.
The PLM still is an undiscovered treasure in the midst of the crazy hype for steel Nautilus and Daytonas and Submariners!!
Cheers
