Lange 1 mother of pearl tried today - Limited Edition of 25 pieces only. A truly rare beauty 😍
Hi all,
I tried, this morning, a stunning Lange 1 MOP made for the Dubail watch Paris shop in a limited edition of 25 pieces only.
What a dial!!! Depending on the light, the hues are amazing (of course, hard to capture in picture especially with artificial lights).
For me, this watch is masculine as the MOP hues offer a kind of “darkness”. If you look at the first picture below, this dial makes me think to a dark cloudy sky before a storm. Truly superb no?
You can also note the circular pattern of the sub minute and hour dial.
Due to this MOP dial, the case is slightly thicker than a regular Lange 1 version at the bezel level. Something you can also note thanks to the date window whose numerals are more “deeply integrated”.
Unfortunately for me, this Lange 1 was already “on hold”. Too bad as I would have liked to add it to my Lange collection.
A side by side shot with my blue dial Lange 1 (pay attention to the date windows and you will see a slight difference of depth).

Hope you get this piece . The dial is stunning though Iam not Anfan of mop dials . Enamel dials and mop dials tend to be thicker and yes date windows are the best gauge of thickness of the mass on the dial .

That’s really nice version but “on hold” is not sold....
Since this is for Dubail, how can your local AD get an allocation?
If they can get one, can they not get another since there is a demand?
Just curious, what is the retail? PM me if it violates rules here but I believe MSRP is ok to post.

Made for Dubail but... many years ago. It’s a second hand timepiece so no allocation question here my friend

You’re absolutely right my friend. I didn’t remember this post to be honest. But it’s not the 38.5mm. It’s a new limited edition with the Grande Lange one in 40.9mm. The sub minute and hour dial is slightly different for instance with no circular pattern

I definitely prefer the regular Lange 1. The Grande L1 is too big for my wrist.

Having seen numerous MOP offerings from FPJ I was completely sold on the need for some MOP.
Who knows where it may end up, FPJ, ALS or another. That is all to say I'm right there with you, we all need a MOP dial in the watch box!
