Hi All,
I finally got my first A. Lange. The old 36mm 1815 UP/Down. I thought of getting the 37 SAX-O-MAT but decided with this one instead. No regrets at all. The timepiece is even more beautiful in person. Just wow..Picture below does not do it justice. This is going to be my daily wear (including weekends, that is). I slept with it last night and plan to every night.

Congratulations on acquiring this beauty! I have had three up and downs in rose gold and must say that I prefer the 'old' one to the new one simply because the new one with its 72 hour power reserve takes over 150 turns to wind!! The Walter Lange version with the hinged back is also desirable even if it adds more weight to the watch. Yours to me is the best!!

Congratulations as that is one of the best watches.
As you reported already a comment from your wife, I would advise Not to sleep with the watch on at night.
It will be safer on the side table.

It's always great to read a post where a Purist states he just got his first Lange. It's a thrill for us as much as him. And almost every time a new Lange collector is born. Welcome, Shonex, to Langeland.
