And went to the boutique here in NYC to try it out. As i had the watch on the sales rep pulled out a Saxonia Moonphase as well to try on and it totally ruined the idea of me ever buying that 37mm Saxonia thin! The Saxonia thin was just a little too plain and having the Saxonia MP next to it really accentuated that fact for me even more. Long story short, the model didn't blow me away like some of Lange's other offerings (i.e. the Saxiona MP!)
Again I certainly won't mind owning a Saxonia thin someday at the right price but i think there are better options within the Lange's portfolio. Do you currently own other Lange's?
Sorry, I noticed that it will be your first Lange..........

As a first entry into the brand it would be hard for me to not consider the iconic Lange 1 or the Lange 1 moonphase as your first Lange. Good luck, it could be one of many once you get started! Tony
Initially I was partial to the 35mm Saxonia but if you place both watches side by side, you will notice that the patina on the dial of the ultra thin is more vintage looking/ richer and blends well with the rose gold case. And the 37mm ultra thin is a much better looking watch than the 40mm ultra thin. The reduction in size was important because the ultra thin is a two handed watch with relatively a lot of empty space on the dial so the larger the dial, the more empty the watch looks.
