Paul Ditischeim Solvil

I am a scrap buyer and have gotten this watch in scrap. I didn't know what a good find this was until I did my research, and realized that this was a more desirable watch. I typically would scrap the watch, but have decided to offer some of the better watches on forums such as this or e-bay.

The watch is a Paul Ditischeim and is in pretty rough shape, the face is yellowed and  needs refurbishing, it is mossing a crown and the back is worn enough to not be able to discern whether it is 14k or 18k. I can only see a "k" on it. The watch is a 17 jewel and I believe would work if it could be wound. I have no clear concept of the value, but I would prefer to get it to someone elses collection than scrap it. Currently it will scrap at about $250. So, there is a starting point for some offers. Gary
