Offering here is a brand new in box, unworn self-winding annual calendar with moon phases Ref. 5396R in 18K pink gold. Watch comes with Certificate of Origin, Stylus, Patek Philippe leather folder and original box. This Sector dial Ref. 5396 draws its design from Patek Philippe's original Calatrava Ref. 96, and its dial inspiration from a historic 1930s model, it features a new layout of the Annual Calendar displays (from the earlier designs i.e. ref. 5035, 5036, 5146, 5135, etc). The annual calendar system has long been a successful complication for Patek Philippe. On March 1, Patek Philipe obtained the Swiss Patent for annual calendar for a wristwatch with automatic winding. This mechanism is programmed to take into account the varying lengths of each month from March 1 to the following February end and was I nitially implemented in Ref. 5035's Calibre 315/198. The new Calibre 324/303 (fitted in Ref. 5396) was redesigned to eliminate several levers; it also features Patek Philippe's time-tested Gyromax balance and is stamped with the highest mechanical quality certification of the Seal of Geneva. 34 jewels with a 21K gold rotor. The watch has a matte silver dial with blue-painted sector divisions, subsidiary dial for the 24 hours and moon phases at the lower centre, apertures for the days of the week and the months at upper centre and date window at 6. Outer minute track with Arabic numerals, blue steel feuille hands. Wide bezel, concave lugs and transparent snap-on case back to view the movement. Diameter of the watch is 38mm, thickness 11.4mm.
