📖 About This Reference

The Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 3712A represents a significant evolution in the iconic Nautilus lineage, building upon Gérald Genta s revolutionary 1976 design while introducing contemporary refinements that enhanced both functionality and visual appeal. As part of the modern Nautilus generation, the 3712A maintained the collection s distinctive porthole-inspired aesthetic while incorporating updated proportions and manufacturing techniques that reflected Patek Philippe s advancing horological capabilities. This reference served as a bridge between the classical Nautilus heritage and the brand s vision for luxury sports watches in the contemporary market, establishing itself as a cornerstone model within the collection s evolution. At the heart of the 3712A beats the automatic Caliber 324 S C, a sophisticated movement that exemplifies Patek Philippe s commitment to mechanical excellence. This caliber features a central rotor crafted from 21-karat gold, ensuring efficient winding while maintaining the movement s refined finishing standards. The movement incorporates a Spiromax balance spring made from Silinvar, Patek Philippe s proprietary silicon-based material that provides superior resistance to magnetic fields and temperature variations. With its stop-seconds function and power reserve extending to approximately 45 hours, the Cal. 324 S C delivers both practical functionality and the exceptional timekeeping precision expected from the manufacture. The 3712A s design language celebrates the Nautilus DNA through its rounded octagonal bezel and integrated bracelet construction, while the 40mm stainless steel case provides substantial wrist presence without compromising elegance. The blue-green gradient dial creates exceptional depth and luminosity, shifting between deep oceanic blues and subtle green undertones depending on lighting conditions. Protected by sapphire crystal and offering 120 meters of water resistance, the watch balances luxury aesthetics with genuine sports watch capability. Among collectors, the 3712A occupies a prestigious position as a modern Nautilus reference that combines the model s legendary design heritage with contemporary technical advancement, making it highly sought after for its representation of Patek Philippe s mastery in luxury sports horology.

Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712 under the loupe - Reposted ten years New for 2020
I just realized that I didn't have any mcros of this watch, so I decided to repair this injustice. The 5712 is really a weird watch. I remember the first time I saw pics of a Nautilus, I said to my self " noway, too weird ". ...Till a few years ago, a friend of mine came to see me with a 3712 on the

The Nautilus Genève auction analysis
Craziness. Even as a die hard fan of the Nautilus I can not explain just what has happened over the last few days. The original 3700 in all guises had exploded, it has becone “Daytonafied” Even the unpopular 3700 s/g has tripled in value If it was just one auction one could say freak results, but in

Nauti Plunge
Need advice. Developed a crush (late, I know) on Nautilus and held out for the anniversary pieces. Not going there, for reasons that don't need repeating. I'm left with this conundrum: 5712 or 3712? Your views much appreciated.

Tomorrow I'll wear the complicated Nautilus with moon phase BUT
which one do I like more? Sometimes on Sundays there is an empty moment and I had it today. I took out both of my Nautilus sisters and tried to understand which one I like more - forgetting the case construction, rarity and value. Here are the two sisters: On the left is 5712 and on the right 3712.

It is not a matter of your own interest. Thilo, it is not a matter of your own interest. I don't sit in front of my PC all day and I had no time to reply your e-mail instantly to name location for a f2f inspection. This is not a reason for you to post a comment full of groundless suspicion since this is a public forum. I clearly stated I am located in Gibraltar. Have a nice day.

If you're Thilo, which is obvious, what funny answers you got from me? I even gave you contact of the dealer for confirmation. Strange behavior I must say. [nt] No message body
