📖 About This Reference

The Panerai Radiomir PAM425, known as the "California Dial" reference, is a notable model within the Radiomir collection, distinguished by its unique dial configuration. It presents a blend of Arabic and Roman numerals, along with a railway minute track, a design element that harks back to early watch dials. This reference is part of a series that emphasizes historical design cues, offering a distinct aesthetic compared to other Radiomir models that typically feature more conventional numeral layouts. This particular Radiomir model features a 47mm polished steel case, characteristic of the larger Radiomir offerings. It is fitted with a plexiglass crystal, a detail that further enhances its vintage appeal and differs from the sapphire crystals found on many contemporary watches. The watch is powered by the manual-wind Calibre P.3000, which provides a power reserve of 72 hours. Its construction emphasizes a robust yet refined presence on the wrist. For collectors, the PAM425 holds appeal due to its "California Dial" and the use of plexiglass, which are considered desirable vintage-inspired elements. The absence of an SLC logo on the dial is another detail that collectors often note. It represents a specific period and design philosophy within Panerai's production, appealing to those who appreciate historical references and a more traditional watchmaking approach.

The Admiral's watch....
not many people are aware of this model or have seen it. This was a model requested..specifically..by an Admiral of the Royal Italian Navy (or so I was told by an absolute authority in matters of Panerai history) I think it's just "scrumptious"

PAM 425
Dear all, I watched the video below regarding PAM 425. However current 425 has a small torpedo on the dial over 6 (for me the reason not to buy it at least for now), whereas the 425 on the video does not. youtu.be I am a bit confused so wanted to ask experts here. Was there another version of 42

Which Cali?!
I'm after adding a radiomir to my collection. Whilst ideally I would love the 249, I have been offered a 424 or 425 - my preference I think is the 424. I have a 562 Luminor, so looking to balance up my Panerai collection, together with a couple of divers and chronos that I have. Whilst I am reasonab

I have a question: What made you buy your first Panerai?....
because you liked it, because you "saw the light" (Blues Brother's style) because of its "cult" status? Because you'd had enough of mainstream timepieces? Because...because....because..?

the 2 most beautifull Panerai EVER
Forget about the overhyped limited editions. The 339 looks good but the 339 should have been the only composite. The 382 is nice but afterall it's just a bronze diver. 249 california dial is not bad But how many times did they use this dial already ? Than you have the 26, 28 and extremely overhyped
