5218-302 Slytech Mare Nostrum
In great condition, some wear on the minute hand as can be seen in the photos. All original, strap in good condition. No boxes/papers however authenticity can be proven. Buying/selling references available.
Fairly rare watch, model description below:
5218-302 Slytech Mare Nostrum
This is where the Mare Nostrum meets the Slytech range. A standard Mare Nostrum has been given a slate blue dial.
It has the tachymeter bezel (with km/h engaving) an ETA 2801-2 movement with Dubois-Depraz 3127 chrono module. There is a picture of this watch on page 50 of Panerai Historia.
In 1996, Sylvester Stallone (Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone, nicknamed SLY), a well-known Hollywood star also a frantic follower of Panerai, cooperated with Panerai to customize a special edition chronograph called SLYTECH MARE NOSTRUM, including 5218-302 and 5218-304 with blue dial to express his respect and enthusiasm for the ocean.
In addition, 100 pieces of 5218-301A were reworked as 50 pieces of 5218-302 and 50 pieces of 5218-304. The main difference between 5218-302 and 5218-304 is that titanium bezel of 5218-304 was polished without the tachymeter scale. However, only 32 and 31 pieces aimed at the civilian market respectively. Production Numbers
