Description

Up for sale is a very rare 1940's era manual wind Omega in solid 18k rose gold. The strap is not original, neither is the buckle which is gold plated The watch is a ladies piece and measures just 15.5mm in diameter and 23mm from lug to lug. The crown is actually mounted on the case-back as was done on vintage pieces and ones that were particularly small in diameter. In addition, the watch has an interesting "dome" shape to it with a sort of beaded bezel. The crystal magnifies that the dial a little bit. The dial appears to be a coral color. The strap measures 7". Let us know if you have seen a vintage watch this small that was in such fantastic condition!!! The watch is running and keeping good time. We do not have the original box and papers. This watch has been serviced. We did not want to risk ruining the watch by pulling the case-back off of the movement given that the crown is mounted to the back. For this you will have to take our word for it that the piece has a genuine Omega movement. This is not a Valjoux 7750, a movement this small from the 1940's is not that easy to find or fake. It is important to note, as with all vintage pieces, do not expect this to run as accurately as a modern-day quartz watch or even a modern chronometer. Vintage pieces keep good time, but are by no means as consistent as modern watches. THIS PIECE IS NOT WATER RESISTANT. This is a fun watch but is not recommended for everyday wear. It may also be necessary to wind old watches once a day. They do not typically have the same power-reserves as modern watches either. Watch is sold "As-is". We are asking for $1295.00 but are open to serious offers. Shipping will be set at $20.00 within the Continental United States. Please let us know if you have any questions! Thank you for viewing our post. With kindest regards, The Accoutre-Montres Team

Vintage watch handed down, not properly serviced in years. Local expert restoring, focusing on original parts. Patience key. Other watches with Omega for service. Issue stemmed from father ignoring advice.
