FS: IWC Pisa Portugueser – "Rarest of the Rare" – with Special Addition



IWC Ref 5441 Jubilee Portuguese is one of the most popular watch models of all time. These were issued as Limited Editions in three case metals: 1000 in SS, 500 in RG, and 250 in Platinum. Far more rare and virtually impossible to find today is a very special Limited Edition of 50 issued in 1997 and sold exclusively through only one retailer in the entire world – Pisa Orologi of Milan, Italy. This is Ref 5441-07, usually known as the Pisa Portugueser.

The Pisa Portugueser measures an exceptionally comfortable and possibly perfect 42mm x 10mm. The beautiful and specially engraved in-house IWC movement is visible through the display back.

The watch case is in Near Mint condition and is accompanied by the original boxes, papers, and warranty card. The box is the nicest I have seen from IWC, and I have seen many. The strap is an aftermarket strap from Watchboys that has been worn but is still serviceable. The clasp of the IWC deployant is quite scratched from desk contact, though the watch case is clean.

As a special addition, I have just obtained the strap that was original to this watch and will include it in the package. The strap is dark brown and stamped “Pisa” on the inside. The strap has been worn but has plenty of wear left.

The watch keeps consistent time at +16 seconds per day. My price reflects a $500 reduction from what I had planned to ask. The buyer can have the watch regulated and have plenty left over to compensate for the time, or can simply pocket the discount and enjoy this superb highly collectible gem as is.
