IWC International beta 21

Beautiful silver dialed IWC watch with it`s original warranty booklet and invoice both signed December 1974. This watch has the first Swiss produced quartz movement Beta 21 with 8192 Hz frequency and therefore a fluent moving second hand instead of one that ticks per second. A rare find in steel with a bracelet in this complete state as only 600 movements were ordered by IWC. Of these, 300 went to the Da Vinci line and maybe 100 were cased in gold watches. So less than 300 pieces in steel for this `International` model.

The silver dial has a two tone effect depending on the light and is in excellent condition. Please see the photo`s as they are part of the description. The case has marks and swirls consistent with it`s age and the crystal is clear but has some lights scratches. 

The original bracelet has all the links and is large enough for a wrist of 18 / 19 cm. The rectangular case with a width of 36mm and a lug to lug of 44 mm wears slightly larger than a round case. The accompanying box is in fantastic condition for its age and the hinge works fine. The watch has the original IWC marked cal 2001 and runs precise within 1 sec p/day and the date has a quick set function.
