IWC Cal.

This beauty has a flawless to my eyes eggshell color dial with sharp, unpolished case.  There are some minor blemishes on the original plexi crystal that could easily be polished out if desired.  The watch was serviced in 2023 and is running very well.  All original.  The watch will come on a grey custom strap not the strap pictured.  

The IWC caliber 853 is based on the brand's proprietary Pellaton automatic winding system, developed by Albert Pellaton in 1950. This new self-winding architecture was considered revolutionary for its time, as it allowed energy to be transferred from the bi-directional rotor to the mainspring, a considerably more efficient solution compared to other self-winding movements of the era. Nearly 70 years since its creation, variations of the Pellaton self-winding system are still in use today in some modern IWC watches.
