Gerald Genta 18K YG self-winding Perpetual Calendar with Moonphase

In 1969, watch making legend Gerald Genta launched a timepiece collection bearing his own name, since then he has to a large extent revolutionized the world of luxury timepieces, both under his own name and under the names of many premiere watch brands including Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, IWC, GP, Cartier etc. Over the years, he has claimed a multitude of accolades and awards for his designs. Such recognition comes as a result of his ability to ingeniously combine innovative art and design with traditional watch making. This perpetual calendar wristwatch I am selling is a real piece of art. With a diameter of 36 mm and a height of 12mm, it is one of the slimmest automatic perpetual calendar watches in today’s market. 18K YG polished circular case with stepped bezel and case back screwed by 6 screws. Matte silver dial with painted Roman numerals and auxiliary dials for the day of the month, the week and date, aperture for the moon phases and the leap year indication. “Baton” gold hands. Nicked-finished lever movement. Gerald Genta Caliber 2120 (based on Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 889-1), 35 jewels. Watch comes with a black lacquered Gerald Genta box and adjusting tool. No paper but watch was completely serviced in May, 2005 by the workshop of Hour Glass which used to own Gerald Genta and Daniel Roth hence still runs the workshop for these brands. The servicing cost me US$1,300. Note that a similar watch was sold at a recent international auction for US$9200 (before buyer's 25% commission) but my price is only US$6,500.
