Description

For sale is this ‘Frank Jutzi’ regulator moonphase model.  This watch is the only one of its kind in existence and the dial execution is one of the very best I’ve ever owned.

Regarding the story of how this watch came about, I’d be more than happy to discuss the details with those seriously interested in owning it.

The watch itself is housed in a ~37mm 18kt white gold case, appx. 10mm thick, with accompanying 18kt WG buckle.  Interesting and flat lug design.  The case is in almost completely NOS condition (there’s actually still some of the blue wrapping on it) and is free of any marks or scratches other than a few swirlies.

Engine turned silver guilloche dial is perfect.  Blued steel ‘arrow’ hands.  Sapphire front & back.  Signed Frank Jutzi – one of only a small handful of wristwatches to come out of his workshop bearing his signature.

2982 automatic base movement with decentralized wheels for regulator construction and dialside moonphase modules added by Frank Jutzi himself.  It is a completely exclusive movement to the watch.  One of the things I like about this watch is the moonphase is controlled through the crown, no pushers - quite a clever way of doing it (he utilized what was once a quick-set date to control moonphase).  Completely custom rotor signed Frank Jutzi in gold - has a very handmade look to it.  The watch itself of course winds, sets, and runs perfectly.  Timekeeping is excellent.

Purchase includes both a blue alligator Goldpfeil strap and a Black Artisan alligator strap.

All boxes, papers, Accompanying DVD, ‘7 Masters’ Book, and a handwritten card from Jutzi are included.

Great opportunity to own something very special and unique from an AHCI member.  I doubt it will be offered again on the open market after this sale.

Price reduced to $9,800 including overnight insured shipping within the USA. Wire preferred, though other payment methods are also available. International shipping is also possible.

Thanks!

A visit to Franck Muller
Emmanuel's visit to Franck Muller was disappointing due to dull dials, poor quality straps, and thick designs. Even after trying Long Island, Color Dreams, and Cintrée Curvex models, he found them lacking.

Overview of the Omega cal. 30 I Tourbillon wristwatches
Omega created twelve Calibre 30 I Tourbillon movements in 1947 for Observatory trials, achieving high scores. Seven found in 1987, rebuilt, cased in gold/silver. Prototype in 1947 had stainless steel case; possibly the first tourbillon wristwatch intended for production.
