Description

In great condition for age - the bezel and insert is in very good condition. The dial is in superlative condition as is the case, case back and bracelet. The watch is Keeping excellent time with a nice, clean wind. This is an above average collector's example. Original bracelet in excellent unstretched condition. Comes with Eberhard Scafograf box. It has been a safe queen but deserves to be worn on the wrist of an owner who appreciates the history of 1960s diver's watches such as the Eberhard Scafograf 300, the Rolex 5513 and the the Omega SM300.

The third generation Scafograf 300 was introduced in 1964. The Scafograf 300 upped the water resistance to 300 meters, and increased the case size to 42 mm. The third iteration also streamlined the dial design. It was also the first Scafograf to be powered by a self-winding caliber.

Case size: 42.5mm
Original bracelet
calibre 260-13

The Scafograf ref. 26013 retains the same case as the refs. 11545 and 11706 with two evolutions. The first, which is quickly detectable, is that the bezel insert is now graduated minute by minute over the entire circumference and no longer just on the first quarter.

This dial is the rarer gilt version, whereby the S of SWISS is between minutes 34 and 35 and the T sits close to the 26 minute mark. The version, that is reserved for matte dials, takes into account the new shape of the index at 6 o'clock and the SWISS MADE T is pushed back to the centre. The S is between minutes 33 and 34 and the T is between minutes 26 and 27.

Good original "stick lume" examples are very rare and seldom offered for sale. The watch for sale, therefore, represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a highly prized and very special collector’s piece.

Overview of high frequency watches and calibres - contributions highly welcome
For some reason I have gotten bitten by the frenetic sound and the romantic promise of high frequency watches - i.e. those beating faster than 28.800 vph. I started my journey in the topic with my Eterna Sevenday Fastbeat, which got joined by the Grand Seiko SBGH035 soon after and the Elprimero powe

patek 2508 1954's
I received from my father as a christmas present a 2508 in yellow gold.It is in original condition and the dial is somehow oxidized. It was bought in milan in 1954 so it is written on it "Eberhard milan" .Should i keep it in the original condition or is it worth to have it repaired?

A picture of the Eberhard Nuvolari Legend Grande Taille
A nice vintage inspired watch with a lovely central snail scale. I like a lot its dial. It is powered by the Valjoux 7750. My only concern is the lack of a permanent second hand. Fx

For Eberhard fans: Two pictures of the Contograf.
The case looks like a Hugunenin Frères you find in the Omega Seamaster / Railmaster / Speedmaster first generatio, or the Jaeger Lecoultre Deep Sea Alarm. The nice detail ,the date which is red and black depending on the day, like the Rolex GMT MASTER 6542. A pleasant balanced dial. A strong looking
