This Breguet Jumping Hour watch, Ref. 3420 BA was launched in 1990, one year after Patek Philippe's release of its Jumping Hour Ref. 3969. These two jumping hour watches created quite a stir in the collectors' market then and buyers at that time were willing to pay close to US$30,000 for the Breguet jumping hour. Until now, Breguet Ref. 3420 and Patek Philippe Ref. 3969 have been the classic representatives of automatic jumping hour watches. Breguet Ref. 3420 is limited to 800 pieces. Watch comes with a very beautiful white enamel dial with painted Breguet numerals, cryptographic signature under the 12, aperture for the jumping hours. Movement used is Breguet Calibre 561, rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" 25 jewels, lever escapement. 40 hours' power reserve. Self-winding movement with two barrels in tandem. 22K gold rotor. 36 mm polished 18K case with reeded band, sapphire-set winding crown, semi-guilloche back. My watch was purchased at an international auction and comes with Certificate of Original, Warranty (now void) and a very beautiful Breguet leather box.
