I am thinking about buying either a Breguet (5197 or 5930) or a Patek Philippe (5119, 5120). I like the looks of the Breguet watches better, but Patek watches seem to have this aura about them. If I buy a Breguet, will I regret not owning a Patek? I'm new to high end watches and have a lot to learn.
Breguet 5920 mechanism
I recently bought a Classique 5920. I have been told that the mechanism is either an F Piguet 1150, which I understand is 3 Hz, or an F Piguet 1160, which I understand is 4 Hz. How can I tell the difference and what level of accuracy should I expect. Thanks
5920: Small second a little jerky
Just bought myself a slightly used 5920 in great condition, and keeping great time, a really beautiful watch. However it seems to me that the small second hand moves a little jerkily. Is this normal? Thank you.
