Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Rubberclad. Just serviced. New Bezel

AP's Royal Oak Offshore, first released in 1993, set the record as the world's most expensive stainless steel chronograph wristwatch. Soon the design of the watch has become a fusion of futuristic and traditionalist elements. However the sheer proportions and weight of the ROO is not for everyone. In 2001, after intensive research, AP came out with a specially developed rubber compound called "nitrile" which AP found is bonding well with metal, thus the release of this rubber-clad Offshore which features a protective rubber clad bezel and a rubber bracelet with the signature AP deployant clasp. This particular model of ROO introduced a new grand tapestry motif on dial, and is available in white and black dials with Arabic numerals. The ROO rubber clad while possess all the characteristics of the Offshore reduced substantially the weight of the original Offshore. Also, many like its arrogant good looks, hence after its release, this Rubberclad Offshore has soon become a highly sought after timepiece by AP enthusiasts particularly in Asia and the USA. Offering here for sale is a LNIB piece which has just been serviced by Audemars Piguet with a new bezel replaced and comes with Audemars Piguet's 2 years warranty effective from February 26, 2015. Note that watch has not been polished as it does not require one. This is the first generation Rubber clad Offshore and is fitted with AP's 54 jewels Calibre 2226/2840. It is companied by an AP wooden box and warranty as well as servicing certificate (the complete servicing and replacement of the bezel cost me US$2500).
