Description

The spoils of war! Rarest and most desirable version, the Type A is more rare than Type B and this one is Lange movement and Lange made (check out the inner caseback).

More production was needed than Lange could accommodate, so mainly they sent their movements out to other manufactures to complete. This is one of the few that was made completely by Lange as listed in the "Hersteller (manufacturer)" section inside the caseback. It is on the proper double loop long leather strap meant to wear over a flight jacket and is in very nice condition, but of course is a vintage military watch so please see pictures. It keeps good time and holds power reserve. I use it as a desk clock actually.

Seeing the real ALS watches from this era with such a dark provenance is a real turn off to the modern brand despite the good things they’re doing. When I see this, I can just picture it on the wrist of a Waffen SS pilot. Certainly a worthy piece of history, but not something I could ever bring myself to own.
