Omega

Hi! I have the possibility for buying this 38mm. cal. 265 from the late 1940's, ref. unknown by seller. I am unsecure for the originality of the dial, sellers claims it is not renovated/repainted but 100% original. I can't find any Omega Jumbo that looks ...  

. . . I can't find a single element of the dial that's out of place, Thomas. The condition is mind-boggling, granted. If the asking price were reasonable, I'd be happy to own the watch even if the dial later proved to be refinished - it's that good to my ... 

I feel the same way, it is to good to be true, but i cant find any faults on the dial. My other concern is the case and caliber. The only case i can find that looks similar has a 30 T2 caliber and holes on the lugs. BUT if this ref. has continued from the... 

... the case back should give you the reference number and the movement should also have a number. With these and some time on the Omega web site, or just in Google, you might learn some more. There is always the possibility that the movement was exchange... 

Have seen dials like these used in the same case style featuring the first batch 30mm manual wind movements. If that is the case, buy the watch immediately - these are rare specimens.

Very nice watch! here are some questions: 1) where is the seller from? Are they from Poland or Ukraine? if so, then you're looking at a 90% chance that it is a pocket watch recase job. However, these sellers are usually quite capable jewelers, so I've see... 

Seller can not open the Watch. The watch is located in Sweeden. This is ref. 2186 from the big Omega book. I think it looks like this case and hands is identical, but 2186 has a cal. 30 T2 Best Thomas [URL=] [/URL] [URL=] [/URL] ...

Hi Thomas If you did not feel right about the watch, it is best to pass on it . Please dont take it hard with the others comments about " you should have bought it' The others might have more knowledge and can mitigate the risk better. Its always about yo...

What a gorgeous watch! My love for Omega is primarily related to the pre-moon series speedmaster 2998 (all series) but this watch is very very nice! I hope experts can give you their opinion on this... Best Edmond
