Omega

Circa 1953 - 1955

According to the serial no. I am trying to find out a bit more about the watch at the Omega Vintage watch database. I think that I will need to get mroe detailed info from the inside of the case, though.

I have been searching for a mint condition vintage watch literally for years. I have had my share of new watches, but I really wanted a vintage. I also did not want it to be from an internet source which is unknown to me. To have been able to see this watch and try it on in person, is just fantastic for me. The shop also has quite a few other mint condition vintage and pre owned more contemporary watches. It really is a small treasure trove.

It is wonderful to experience the feeling of having this vintage piece, which is apparently a one owner watch. I know the crystal was replaced, as it does not have the Omega logo in the center. Some say the dial has been redone, although looking closely at the "OMEGA AUTOMATIC" it appears that a couple of very small bits of a couple of the letters have broken away.

As others have already mentioned, I really do have the bug now!

Cheers,

Carl
