the financial consideration never interested me much smile As a matter of fact I had both a 22BT and a 22BL, since I had decided to collect all the "destros" available at the time smile I gave away (for a song and a dance) also a 26BT. My intention was to buy A models of both. In the process of doing that, my..ever burning flame for Panerai..started dwindling eroded by questionable choice by the management (IMO of course) smile Here were my "destros"...

Did you get it serviced at Panerai, curious whats their policy with T dials, last time I checked it was new dial and hands.

It has a Unitas calibre inside. Any watchmaker can service it and regulate it back to chronometric precision. Who would waste their money sending it to Panerai?

Like the crown or crown tube may not be available from a traditional watchmaker, although regular service is not a problem as you rightly point out. My sub crown was wobbling excessively when I got it, panerai was the only option especially for a dive wat...

when sending a T dialled model to Panerai, for service. They would probably substitute the dial with a Luminova one, since Tritium is a no-no material, these days. Before you even consider sending it, make sure you obtain IN WRITING the assurance that the...

Is a lot rarer. If it was a full box set, you should have kept it. Some say only around 50 22Bs copped a tritium dial and apparently the 22A didn't sell out either. I've heard that 140 22As left the skunkworks despite the caseback indicating a planned run...
