A friend of mine said he thought the Panerai logo looked gimmicky on the watches - personally I really like the PAM 0 - so I asked an AD if he thought the logo looked gimmicky and he said, "No, I don't think the logo looks gimmicky and matter of fact the logo is very historical and was on all the earlier watches." When I heard this I assumed he meant the watches from the 40s and 50s. So I did a little research, including posting my initial question and discovered the logo did not come out until the 80s but it was supposedly on the back off all the Panerais produced in what's known as the pre-V area. Maybe that is what the AD meant when he said the logo was on all the earlier pieces. Thank you for your contributions. Any other thoughts always welcomed.
