IWC celebrates opening of new Bangkok Boutique at Siam Paragon

Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen celebrated the grand opening of its new Bangkok boutique at Siam Paragon in Thailand with an exclusive cocktail event. The boutique is the first to implement a brand-new IWC boutique design concept in South East Asia.

Close to 200 specially invited guests and media representatives gathered at the Siam Paragon boutique, to mark the grand opening of IWC’s new concept boutique. The evening began with a welcome address by local Thai personality and emcee Ms. Sonia Couling, followed by a welcome speech by Mr. Matthieu Dupont, Managing Director of IWC South East Asia.

“It is indeed a great pleasure to celebrate together the opening of our first boutique in Bangkok, enabling our ever growing collectors and watch afficionados to now meet under one common roof reuniting the very best of our manufactory,” said Mr. Matthieu Dupont, Managing Director of IWC South East Asia.

“Siam Paragon is not only popular among Bangkok’s society influencers and international visitors, it is also an excellent location for high-end shopping. The new design concept of the boutique is the perfect embodiment of IWC’s core values of innovation and engineering excellence. After the welcome speeches, a ribbon cutting ceremony ensued, officiating the grand opening of the new IWC boutique at Siam Paragon.

Joining Mr. Matthieu Dupont at the ceremony were Ms. Yuki Srikarnchana, Managing Director of Pendulum Ltd., Ms. Chadatip Chutrakul, Chief Executive Officer of Siam Piwat, and special guests of Pendulum, Mr. Chutinant Bhirombhakdi, Mr. Pornwut Sarasin, Mr. Sara Lamsam, Mr. Burin Boonvisut and Mr. Pranitan Pornprapha.

Guests were then invited inside to experience the new boutique concept and into the fascinating worlds of the IWC watch families, including the key novelties from the new 2015 Portugieser collection.

Located within Siam Paragon, Bangkok’s leading luxury shopping mall and a key shopping destination for visitors to the capital, the new IWC boutique extends over an area of 88-square-metres and is the first in South East Asia to implement the brand new IWC design concept.

Conceptualised by IWC’s in-house team of architects and designers, the new design concept features a mix of finely crafted glossy Macassar timber furnishings and lush carpeting, against touches of white and chrome. The striking boutique façade immediately draws guests in, with ingeniously segmented floor space which perfectly showcases IWC’s full range of haute horlogerie. Every attention is given to fine detailing and craftsmanship, which further emphasizes the technical pioneering spirit for which IWC is globally renowned.
