Cortina Watch Celebrates 40 years of Pride, Passion and Prestige
Singapore – Leading watch retailer Cortina Watch held a spectacular black tie gala dinner in commemoration of their 40th Anniversary on 15 November 2012.
Over one thousand guests, including VIP customers, media and watch industry principals who especially flew in from Switzerland, were in attendance to celebrate this milestone with Cortina. In addition, Cortina’s brand partners from the watch industry turned up in full force at the gala, held at the Fairmont Ballroom, Fairmont Hotel, in their formal best, making this the bona fide watch event of the year.

The ever elegant and eloquent Diana Ser, who welcomed the guests and introduced the man of the evening, Mr. Anthony Lim, CEO, Chairman and Founder of Cortina Watch, hosted the evening’s proceedings. In the opening address, Mr. Lim extended his deepest appreciation for all his customers, especially those who have supported him and Cortina over the last 40 years. He also thanked the brand partners and his staff, who have contributed in one way or another to Cortina’s success today.
Keeping in the theme of “Time after Time”, guests were treated to video montages of Cortina’s milestones in the 70s, 80s and 90s throughout the evening. During the 90s segment, guest star and singer Joi Chua entertained with her velvety vocals by performing a select medley of top hits from the 90s era.
To mark this momentous occasion, Cortina also presented donations amounting to over $100,000 to various beneficiaries including Pei Chun Public School, Yu Ying Secondary School, Ren Ci Hospital and Medical Centre and Singapore Clock and Watch Trade Association.

Indeed, it was an evening of high spirits and celebration, perfectly concluded with the guests toasting to Cortina’s success. Each guest was also presented with a beautiful token of appreciation by way of a pocket watch, symbolic of the time that has passed and the future for Cortina to continue with its vision in the watch industry for many more years to come.
