Just to add to the discussion, this is what the Breguet/Fatton inking chronograph looks like, this example from 1837 (as seen in the Breguet Museum in Paris)

And another larger inking chronograph, this one originally sold to the Royal College in Lyon in 1845

ps I assume this is not at all intentional, but the modern MB piece is named Riussec, but has Breguet numbers...
