If you look at the recent videos of the production Metamorphosis 1, the transformation is quick...faster than the 15 secs orginally described in the 2010 PR. So I presumed that the production series is using the new movement.
However now with 746 parts, this seems like it is a very different movement than the prototype. And it is absolutely critical that MB get it right. If they blew this and pushed out watches that failed, many high end users would destroy whatever credible image that MB was trying to build with the Timewriter series.
Does this movement now "belong" to Montblanc?

Many, and quite honestly a lot of the information on the internet, have not made the distinction that there is a difference between the two generations and these changes are more substantial than aesthetic changes. I don't think there is a correct answer ...
